Each session will start with a lecture and will be followed by computerized hands-on exercises.
Session 1: Imaging cortex at rest
Professor Jack Van Horn, LONI, University of California LA, USA
Session 2: Image and data analysis
Docent Aapo Hyvärinen, HIIT, University of Helsinki, Finland
Session 3: Cortical Network models,
Professor Jeanette Hellgren Kotaleski, KTH, KI, Stockholm, Sweden
Inquiries and Application: Dr. Jarno Mikkonen, INCF Finland
UPDATE: Due to an EU INCF grant, course attendees from
the EU are eligible to apply for funding to cover expenses for both the
Neuroinformatics2008 congress and the INCF Autumn
School. Awarded students
will receive economic compensation for low-price airfare, low-fare hostel
accommodation for the full duration of the congress and the course (i.e. 5
nights), and for the congress registration fee (early registration). We
especially encourage students from new EU countries to apply. Course applicants
who wish to apply for this funding should indicate this and provide an estimate
of the travelling costs in their CV or Autumn School application.
This course is taking place independently from the Congress. All students interested are encouraged to apply.
